91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ & Graduate Education

The Office of 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ and Graduate Education is a business unit within Administrative Services in the Department of Medicine. We provide support for both academic and support staff within the department for issues related to research, graduate education and postdoctoral fellows.

Some of the common tasks that we assist with are:

  • Review grant, studentship and fellowship applications
  • Obtain signatures from the chair on forms related to research
  • Issue departmental approval for submissions to the Ethics Boards
  • Provide assistance for questions related to the graduate education program
  • Provide assistance for questions related to postdoctoral fellows
  • Accept applications for faculty and student awards applications

  • DoM Internal Reviews for CIHR Project Grants for spring and fall competitions.
  • Large multi-centre grants (for example, applications for “Center of Excellence”, etc.).
  • Assist the Department’s efforts in attracting thematic philanthropic funding towards our strategic priorities.
  • Development of a centralized, web-based resource of information required for Tri-council proposals.

Graduate Program Advisor/Admin Assistants

The Graduate Program Advisor/91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ Administrators in the Office of 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ are the first point of contact for inquiries related to the graduate education program, postdoctoral fellows and research administration in the department with:

  • Answering inquiries from potential Graduate Students (M.Sc. and PhD) & Postdoctoral Fellows
  • Assisting with applying for enrollment
  • Supporting the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ Training Committee
  • Administers all Department of Medicine education courses
  • Provides support for obtaining Chair's signatures
  • Provide support Ethics Approvals
  • Provides overall support to the DoM Office of 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ
