Video Spotlight: Producing heat energy from captured carbon

Unique partnership explores a potential win-win for 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ energy.

A geotechnical engineering team led by Rick Chalaturnyk in the 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ’s Faculty of Engineering has teamed up with 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ's first conventional geothermal power project to explore how to use carbon dioxide instead of water to pump heat up from deep below the Earth’s surface.

The partnership between Chalaturnyk’s team and is investigating a number of ways to optimize the contribution of the proposed site near Grande Prairie to the province’s energy solutions.
