Kirk MacLeod, SLIS Alum (2014) appointed to the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ Board of Governors

Kirk MacLeod On January 31, 2018 Kirk MacLeod (MLIS 2014) was appointed as a member of the Board of Governors of the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ. Kirk MacLeod spent the first ten years of his career in librarianship running a one-person library for Native Counselling Services of 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ and The Nechi Training, 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ and Health Promotions Institute. He received a Bachelor of Professional Arts - Communications Studies from Athabasca University, an Information Management and Library Technology Diploma from MacEwan University, and a Master in Library and Information Studies from the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ. He currently serves as the Open Data Team Lead for the Government of 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ's Open Government Program in Service 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ, following roles with the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ Government Library and the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ School Employee Benefit Plan. Kirk was selected as an American Library Association Spectrum Diversity Scholar in 2012, volunteers as an adult tutor for the Centre for Family Literacy, and currently serves as the President of the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ's Library and Information Studies Alumni Association. He is a member of the James Smith Cree Nation in Saskatchewan.
