On January 31, 2018 Kirk MacLeod (MLIS 2014) was appointed as a member of the Board of Governors of the 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ. Kirk MacLeod spent the first ten years of his career in librarianship running a one-person library for Native Counselling Services of 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ and The Nechi Training, 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ and Health Promotions Institute. He received a Bachelor of Professional Arts - Communications Studies from Athabasca University, an Information Management and Library Technology Diploma from MacEwan University, and a Master in Library and Information Studies from the 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ. He currently serves as the Open Data Team Lead for the Government of 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ's Open Government Program in Service 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ, following roles with the 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ Government Library and the 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ School Employee Benefit Plan. Kirk was selected as an American Library Association Spectrum Diversity Scholar in 2012, volunteers as an adult tutor for the Centre for Family Literacy, and currently serves as the President of the 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ's Library and Information Studies Alumni Association. He is a member of the James Smith Cree Nation in Saskatchewan.
