Recap of 2024 UNESCO Artificial Intelligence for Information Accessibility Conference and report now available

The college played a key role in the conference, with many members offering their insights and expertise

The College of Social Sciences and Humanities played a key role in the 2024 UNESCO AI4IA Conference, held annually to mark the International Day for Universal Access to Information. CSSH provided both technical and organizational support, including leading Canada’s official satellite event, shaping the interactive online platform, and helping archive conference materials in the university’s digital library. Faculty and graduate students also contributed presentations and insights, reflecting the college’s strong commitment to global conversations on AI and information accessibility.
