In a landmark moment for international surgical education, Urologist Dr. Gary Gray recently served as a lead instructor at the inaugural Sacral Neuromodulation course held at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. The course was spearheaded by Dr. Ignacio Calvo, a former Fellow in Reconstructive Urology, and drew a standing-room-only crowd of medical professionals from across Central and South America.

Dr. Gray says, “In providing this inaugural course in sacral neuromodulation, Dr. Calvo has successfully taken on the responsibility that all fellows share in disseminating the knowledge they have acquired. The 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ department of surgery is very proud to have been able to assist.”

This pioneering event combined rigorous didactic instruction with hands-on cadaveric training, offering participants a comprehensive learning experience in the advanced technique of sacral neuromodulation.
