Dr. Ardelle Ries - Professor of Music, Augustana Faculty

Professor of Music at the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ (UofA) Augustana Faculty, Ardelle Ries is grateful to have been raised on the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ prairies surrounded by music and poetry. With an abiding belief that musical experiences and opportunity should be available for all at any age or stage of life, she is a staunch advocate for song-based musical inclusion and multigenerational music education. She has been on faculty at the Zoltán Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy, the International Kodály Seminar, Wilfrid Laurier University, and the University of Calgary. Ardelle is the recipient of numerous awards for her dedication to music education in the province of 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ, recognized by Choir 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ, the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ Kodály Association, the UofA Augustana Faculty, the 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ Council of Disability Services, the Association for Life-Wide Living of 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ, and the Camrose Association for Community Living. Ardelle resides in Camrose, 91ÒùĸÊÓÆµ with her husband, Roger Admiral.
