East/West: Journal of Ukrainian Studies
(EWJUS) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed, online periodical, sponsored by the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies. Launched in 2014, EWJUS replaces two venerable publications: () (1998–2009), issued by the Kowalsky Eastern Ukrainian Institute in Kharkiv since 1998; and the (1986–2012), published by CIUS.
Building upon the rich legacy of its predecessors, EWJUS continues to promote and disseminate original scholarship in a variety of areas related to the study of Ukraine’s past and present, and especially in the fields of Ukrainian history, culture, language, literature, and society, in both comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives.
EWJUS is an Open Access Journal. It is available and without a subscription, but readers and libraries are invited to register with to receive updates.
