The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences has an active research program integrating clinical and basic science approaches to improve the visual health of Canadians. Major research themes include genetics, tele-ophthalmology, clinical trials and ocular physiology, all of which seek to translate research advances directly into improved clinical practice.
