The Department of Psychiatry is home to three active research groups.
- The Neurochemical 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ Unit includes researchers performing fundamental studies of the healthy or diseased brain and researchers developing and validating experimental therapies for brain disease. Learn more about the NRU, its researchers, and its events….
- The Computational Psychiatry 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ Group (CpRG) uses computational methods to improve diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and help clinicians make better decisions for patients struggling with mental health or addiction. Learn more about the researchers in the CpRG and their work.

Many of our researchers are members of the Neuroscience and Mental Health Institute at the 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ and contributors to national and international research consortia including the Canadian Depression 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ and Innovation Network and the Prairie Node of the Canadian 91ÒùĸÊÓƵ Initiative in Substance Misuse.
