Felicia Magpantay
Born in the Philippines, Dr. Felicia Magpantay’s pursuit of post-secondary education was inspired by the diverse perspectives she met abroad at the International Physics Olympiad . She is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Queen’s University. Her research interests in differential equations and mathematical modeling have implications across various fields, including epidemiology and ecology. A committed role model, Dr. Magpantay shares her journey through academia, demonstrating to her community that they have a place in a STEM career.

Née aux Philippines, la poursuite d’études postsecondaires du Dr Felicia Magpantay a été inspirée par les perspectives diverses qu’elle a rencontrées aux Olympiades internationales de la physique. Elle est professeure agrégée du Département des mathématiques et statistiques. Ses intérêts de recherche envers l’équation différentielle et la modélisation mathématique ont des implications à travers plusieurs domaines, comme l’épidémiologie et l’écologie. Un modèle dévoué, Dr Magpantay partage son parcours à travers le monde universitaire pour démontrer à sa communauté qu’ils ont une place en STIM.
