Over the course of history, women and gender diverse people have lacked proper recognition and acknowledgement for their contributions in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) fields, particularly Indigenous women and gender diverse peoples.

We want to change that narrative. We want generations now and generations to come to learn the names and stories of influential Indigenous women in Scholarship and STEM. For Women in STEM (WinSTEM) week 2025, join WISEST (Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science and Technology) as we highlight five trailblazing Racialized Immigrant STEMinists.
